After you solve each problem, analyze the correct answer choice and identify the marker words, parallel items, and root phrase:

Additional tasks:

1.      Identify examples of parallelism among SC problems that you’ve already solved, e.g. from past practice tests.

2.     Make a list of marker words, e.g. ‘x and y’.

3.     Write some sentences of your own that involve parallelism. Start simple and then insert modifiers to complicate the sentence and disguise the parallelism.
